Tuesday 1st October, saw the opening league games hosted by the Dilmun Club.

Defending champions Rugby Club A maintained their winning record as the first league match of the season got underway.

A great start from our A-Team saw a strong 8-1 lead for the first quarter. The opposition fought back in the second quarter scoring 3 in response to Rugby’s 5. The 3rd quarter saw Rugby Club A push on to lead 21-8. As the heat took its toll on both teams, Rugby Club A had to dig deep to win with a final score of 29-11 at full time.

The umpires player of the match for Rugby Club A, was awarded Jo Reed.

Rugby Club Reds also had a great first game, bringing home a win!
As expected, they went on court determined to start well and did not disappoint. By using their youthful speed to their advantage on court, the opposition never really stood a chance! Rugby Club Reds won their game with a final score 23-4 at full time.

The umpires player of the match for Rugby Club Reds, was awarded newcomer Drew Keam.

Rugby Club Flames had the luxury of a ‘bye’ this week.
