Week 8 of the BENL games were hosted here at the Rugby Club on Tuesday 26th November 2019.

Rugby Club Flames certainly did not disappoint when they stepped out on the court with determination for their game against favourites Rugby Club A.

The overall development of Flames as a team and as individuals was evident during the game and great to see.

Rugby Club Flames dominated the start of the game, so Rugby Club A unexpectedly had to dig deep bringing the score back in their favour to finally win the game.

Flames are definitely a team to watch out for in the future!

The final score was Rugby Club A (27) v Rugby Club Flames (21)

The umpire’s choice for players of this match was awarded to Laura Adamson for the Flames and Helen Hind for the A’s.

Rugby Club Reds had the luxury of a ‘bye’.

Week 9 of the BENL were hosted at the Dilmun Club on Tuesday 3rd December 2019.

Tonight saw some great netball being played!

Rugby Club Reds were first up and had a very close game against Top Shots Slammers.  At half time the score was even, but then the opposition pulled ahead eventually winning the game.

The final score was RCR (15) v TSSl (17)

The umpires choice for Rugby Club Reds player of the match was awarded to the agile Drew Keam.

Next up on court was our Rugby Club A who had a successful win against Top Shots Shooters.

Unfortunately, the opposition were up at half time 11-9, so Rugby Club A switched it up a notch and played a defensive and strong strategic second half enabling a comfortable win.

The final score was RCA (22) v TSSH (15)

The umpires choice for Rugby Club A player of the match was awarded once again to our awesome Helen Hind proving that the ol’gal still has it!

Everyone will now enjoy a well-earned rest until the next round of games starts again in the New Year!
