BAHRAIN NETBALL LEAGUE – WEEK 4 RESULTS

Week 4 of the BENL games were hosted at the British Club on Tuesday 29th October.

For the first time this season last night saw Rugby Club A, Flames and Reds all taking to the courts.  There was a magnificent vision of red as our teams showcased this season’s new Kukri kit.

Rugby Club A were the first up at 7:15pm against British Club A.  The first half was played at a fast pace, but was evenly contested by both sides.  At half time the opposition were up by 1 point, so Rugby Club A made some positional changes.

The third quarter saw Rugby Club A pulling back the lead, and after a final push in the fourth quarter, Rugby Club A were up by 5 points taking the win with a final score of 17-11.

The umpire’s choice for Rugby Club A player of the match was awarded to the amazing Jo Mannings.

At 8:15pm, Rugby Club Flames were on Court 1 playing Top Shots Shooters.  This was an evenly contested game, but in the fourth quarter, the opposition pulled away with a 3-point lead, eventually taking the win with a final score of 13-10.

The umpire’s choice for Rugby Club Flames player of the match was awarded to our lovely CoCo Desouza.

Also, at 8:15pm, Rugby Club Reds were playing British Club B on court 2.  Rugby Club Reds stepped out on court with determination to play a strong game, and they did not disappoint!  Reds won their game with a final score of 14-12.

Unfortunately, during the game Rugby Club Reds player Grace Brown suffered an injury, so we wish her a speedy recovery.

The umpire’s choice for Rugby Club Reds player of the match was awarded to our energetic Charlie Baker.

The next round of games will be hosted by the Rugby Club on Tuesday 5th November, starting at 7:15pm.
